Giedrius Pukas, Chief Investment Officer

Giedrius Pukas has been with Troika Capital Partners since May 2004. From 2002 to 2004, he was Investment Director of the Alfa Private Equity Ltd, the private equity arm of Alfa Group, one of Russia’s largest financial conglomerates. Prior to that (2000-2002), he was Investment Director for the Former Soviet Union with Swiss fund management company Finartis Capital in Moscow. During his career in Moscow, Mr. Pukas has successfully originated, invested in and exited from a number of projects, ranging from pharmaceutical wholesale to logistic service providers.
From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Pukas was Managing Partner at the investment boutique MAS Consult, where he was a lead manager on a number of private equity transactions that took place across the Baltic states and Scandinavia. He also participated in a number of M&A projects in Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Armenia. At the same time, he was a member of the President of Lithuania's Advisory Team on the restructuring and privatization of the country's energy and telecommunications sectors.
Mr Pukas studied at the Law Faculty of Vilnius University (Lithuania) and is a graduate of the Academy of American and International Commercial Law of the University of Texas (US). He also holds an Executive MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics. A native Lithuanian speaker, he is fluent in Russian and English and proficient in Polish.
